Scottie C. Jackson is a Yondan (4th Degree Black Belt) in the Ju Ki Do system of martial arts. He has trained directly under Kyoshi Ivan Ujueta since 2001, and has undoubtedly demonstrated his ability to inspire and empower others in various aspects of life. His passion for martial arts is rivaled only by his love of film production and performing arts along with multimedia design and development. Mr. Jackson has produced, acted in, and directed various short films, run a small software development company, and served in the United States Air Force. His unique journey through life has provided him with an arsenal of real-life experiences that he leverages as examples in his teaching methodology.
Raised in Tampa, Florida by a loving and extremely educationally conscious mother, and a 27 year United States Air Force Veteran father, Mr Jackson developed a deeply rooted sense of discipline at an early age. This discipline was fostered by his own enlistment in the United States Air Force followed by his tutelage under Kyoshi Ivan Ujueta initiated in 2001. Discipline and hard work became the theme of his life as he climbed through the ranks of his training while serving as the Vice President of a technical service provision company in San Antonio, TX. Due to the market crisis in 2008, Mr. Jackson made an urgent decision to launch his own software development and technical service company called Levisite Enterprises.
Mr. Jackson attributes a level of his martial arts success to his willingness to readily teach others. He adopted the belief that the best way to learn is to teach and put knowledge into immediate effect. His work with children as young as 3 years old through adults has consistently demonstrated his ability to make the most grueling tasks or workouts into a fun experience. His deep sense of discipline enabled him to revamp the PKI Special Winning Attitude Team (SWAT) and create a sharp dynamic team of children that maintain A/B honor roll grades, excellent citizenship, and remarkable martial arts abilities.
In 2002, Mr Jackson accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized on December 22, 2002 by Pastor Ivan Ujueta at Family Vision Center (then named Vision Chapel). This change in his life is the greater aspect that he attributes to not only his martial arts success, but also his success with his family and within the community.
Mr. Jackson currently teaches at the PKI San Antonio location. He is living the “Gentle Powerful Way” and is helping others to do the same thing.
