Young Samurai Class

Our Young Samurai program is designed to empower children ages 6 – 8 years old. At this age, your child  is expanding their horizons in the world around them. They may be starting school for the first time,  meeting new teachers and making new friends.. Children at this age are developing independence and doing more on their own. Our program fosters the development of that independence and helps to sharpen their critical thinking skills. These high energy classes present a variety of challenges that help children discover that they can accomplish unlimited objectives through practice and hard work.

Performance and Endurance are the key, pounds and inches are the side effects!

Martial arts training establishes an environment where fitness is a priority; where your child has a place to burn off excess energy and build physical capabilities at the same time. Training at this age helps them to articulate their movement and become aware of skeletal and muscular structures that improve their ability to perform as an athlete.

Fundamental principles that your child learns at this age of training establish a solid foundation for balance, coordination, agility, and strength. Upon this foundation, a variety  of athletic capabilities are built, making martial arts training an outstanding platform for any other sports in which your child may participate.

Develop the confidence and mindset of a VICTOR not a Victim!

Accountability increases at this age, as does independence. Your child, during these years, desires more independence. They want to ride the bus with their friends, tie their own shoes, choose their own meals, etc.  As parents, we do not want to crush their creativity, curiosity, and imagination, however we also want to keep them safe from the dangers that are in the  world around us.

Martial Arts training helps the child to understand boundaries and accountability from a perspective of defending themselves. Your child will learn to pay attention to their surroundings and avoid situations that are threatening. If confronted, your child will be equipped with fundamental skills to defend themselves from a physical attack.

The best version of you begins with the choices you make today!

Respect for authority is a solid theme throughout martial arts training. Your child will learn not only to respect adult authorities, but also their peers that are placed in leadership positions. Consequently, your child will also learn to command respect when he or she is in a leadership position. Understanding authority develops the mindset for social order and helps your child in dealing with the multitude of situations that they will experience in life.
